Long Island Boudoir – Boudoir Photos with Ms. E.

Although I regularly shoot boudoir photos in Long Island and NYC, I recently had the opportunity to do a boudoir photo shoot while I was in South Carolina. I love shooting at different places other than my studio. I always like to give my clients the option to do a boudoir shoot at their home, a hotel or another location if they prefer or if they have something specific in mind. For this session, I mixed up the boudoir with some contemporary glamour photos. Taking photos like these are always great because it gives you some time to settle into the shoot, calm the nerves and it’s great because these are always safe for you to post and share with your friends on social media, etc, or even give mom a photo. In addition, sometimes you get a nice professional photo that you may want to use as a headshot. Boudoir does not mean that all photos must be taken in lingerie. You should wear anything that makes you feel sexy, beautiful and most importantly, confident.

My client, Ms. E was simply awesome. Not only is she beautiful, but she really knew how to follow my posing directions well so that we could get these awesome boudoir photos. She totally rocked this session. Thank you, Ms. E. I had so much fun taking these boudoir photos of you and it looks like you enjoyed the session as well. Long Island Boudoir Photographer/Long Island Glamour Photoshoot

The last few months have been busy and I have completely neglected to blog so since Valentines Day is only 6 weeks away I figured I will start the year with a new boudoir post. In my sessions, I usually like to incorporate both boudoir and glamour style photos into the shoot, especially if my client is doing this for herself and is not doing this as a gift for her partner. I often get asked “what do I wear or what shall i bring?” I usually like to start my sessions with a couple of glamour shots that are quite contemporary in style. For these shots I like to have my subject wear a sexy dress, sweater or something casual and fun. This usually allows for my subject to relax and then as we progress we can either continue to keep it conservative, or we get into the lingerie.

Listed below are some photos from one of my sessions in 2014. For this shoot a simple sheer top, corset and a black costume headpiece/hat kept the shoot contemporary, soft and romantic.

I just love photographing women. Women of every age, shape and size. I love it when women get to experience how beautiful they truly are. We as women are always hard on ourselves, are self-conscious of our image, of our flaws and often we don’t see and just forget how beautiful we really are. Here are some really great images from my recent shoot with Marie. The theme of this shoot was Contemporary, Elegant, Magazine-style Glamour and Boudoir. The goal of this shoot was to create images that are classic, timeless and elegant. This style of photography is for every woman. Many women secretly wish to have magazine-style photos of themselves. Often we just dismiss that idea of ever having them because we feel we are not “photogenic” enough. Unfortunately many of us fail to realize that it is the job of the photographer, through skills of proper lighting, posing and angles to capture you in the most flattering, appealing way that emphasizes your beauty. Don’t feel like posing in lingerie? No problem. You can still have beautiful, magazine-style portraits taken and don’t have to wear it if you are not comfortable or if you just don’t want to. You don’t need to pose in lingerie in order to have beautiful photos of yourself. You’ll have hair and make-up done….a day of beauty, a model experience you will never forget and beautiful photos that you will be proud of and that will serve as keepsakes long after your experience is over. Wedding season is officially here and that means brides are looking to get wedding gifts for their grooms. You are feeling the happiest, excited and the most beautiful you ever have. This is the perfect time to document all these feelings. Give him and/or yourself something that you both can cherish for many years. Bridal boudoir photos or just beautiful portraits of you! Or even a combination of both. Boudoir need not just be about wearing lingerie. This beautiful client came in recently so she could gift these photos as both a wedding gift and a birthday gift to her groom to be. Here are some highlights from her session. New York Boudoir Photographer/Bridal Boudoir

Wedding season is here and that means it’s time for some bridal boudoir photos. I’d like you to meet the lovely Miss C who I had the pleasure to photograph recently in Long Island, NY. Ms. C is getting married at the end of this month and she called me to get some sexy pictures of herself for her soon to be hubby and for herself. When she arrived on the day of her shoot she was beaming with excitement. But once i asked her to see the outfits that she brought so i can map out her shoot, she realized that she forgot her outfits and naturally became very upset. I offered to reschedule the session since it was already evening time but she was quite adamant about proceeding with the shoot since she already had her hair and make-up done. It is quite common for almost everyone to be a bit tense at the very beginning of the session. It usually takes an average of about 15 minutes before the client loosens up and the great images start to get produced. Well it was no different with Ms. C. especially since she was naturally very upset about not having all her outfits. Despite her disappointment, we realized that she had a few items to work with that she brought with her that were in her bag of shoes and I quickly started to have her change into them and we made it WORK! In no time, she was rocking the shoot and was having a blast. Sure she didn’t have the matching outfits and lingerie she had packed but I didn’t let that stop me from capturing her beauty and her personality. And we got some great images. It just goes to show you that everything does not have to be perfect in order to get great pictures. Check out some of Ms. C’s favorite images that she has given me permission to share. Isn’t she beautiful?
