A few months ago I got contacted by Haley to do a glamour and boudoir photo shoot at my studio in Long Island. I was thrilled to learn that she had just started working as a plus model and that I would be able to share the photos from her shoot. Time and time again I always hear women wanting to do a boudoir photo session but always use the excuse, “but, I can’t because I need to lose 30 lbs”, or, “I am too fat…..maybe next year after I lose this fat and get back into shape”. And I totally get it and understand. But here is what happens, a year goes by and you still don’t have the perfect body that you had hoped to achieve because life just happens and the years go by and then before you know it you have another excuse that you are too old and you just never get this experience. All because you are seeking the perfection that is just never going to be there. You know why? Because you will just never feel and believe that you are perfect as you are. Perfection is an illusion and we as women all feel that we do not look perfect. Most of us are all fighting the same battle. We either are just not blessed with skinny bodies, we feel that we are not skinny enough, we get married and have kids and we all get older. We spend are whole lives feeling like we are not perfect or wishing to look a certain way. It’s no different than wishing that we had curly hair or wish that we had straight hair. Sound familiar? Why not just embrace who we are and the fact that we are all beautiful in our own individual and unique way. Not everyone can be thin. Curves are beautiful. Embrace them ladies and love them. And if you are still making excuses because you don’t believe you are perfect than you really need to book yourself a boudoir shoot so that I can make you see just how beautiful you really are. Long Island Boudoir Photographer/Long Island Glamour Photoshoot

The last few months have been busy and I have completely neglected to blog so since Valentines Day is only 6 weeks away I figured I will start the year with a new boudoir post. In my sessions, I usually like to incorporate both boudoir and glamour style photos into the shoot, especially if my client is doing this for herself and is not doing this as a gift for her partner. I often get asked “what do I wear or what shall i bring?” I usually like to start my sessions with a couple of glamour shots that are quite contemporary in style. For these shots I like to have my subject wear a sexy dress, sweater or something casual and fun. This usually allows for my subject to relax and then as we progress we can either continue to keep it conservative, or we get into the lingerie.

Listed below are some photos from one of my sessions in 2014. For this shoot a simple sheer top, corset and a black costume headpiece/hat kept the shoot contemporary, soft and romantic.

New York Boudoir Photographer/Bridal Boudoir

Wedding season is here and that means it’s time for some bridal boudoir photos. I’d like you to meet the lovely Miss C who I had the pleasure to photograph recently in Long Island, NY. Ms. C is getting married at the end of this month and she called me to get some sexy pictures of herself for her soon to be hubby and for herself. When she arrived on the day of her shoot she was beaming with excitement. But once i asked her to see the outfits that she brought so i can map out her shoot, she realized that she forgot her outfits and naturally became very upset. I offered to reschedule the session since it was already evening time but she was quite adamant about proceeding with the shoot since she already had her hair and make-up done. It is quite common for almost everyone to be a bit tense at the very beginning of the session. It usually takes an average of about 15 minutes before the client loosens up and the great images start to get produced. Well it was no different with Ms. C. especially since she was naturally very upset about not having all her outfits. Despite her disappointment, we realized that she had a few items to work with that she brought with her that were in her bag of shoes and I quickly started to have her change into them and we made it WORK! In no time, she was rocking the shoot and was having a blast. Sure she didn’t have the matching outfits and lingerie she had packed but I didn’t let that stop me from capturing her beauty and her personality. And we got some great images. It just goes to show you that everything does not have to be perfect in order to get great pictures. Check out some of Ms. C’s favorite images that she has given me permission to share. Isn’t she beautiful?

New York Glamour Photography/Long Island Boudoir Photos

Long Island Glamour Pictures – Boudoir Photos

I had a great time shooting these glamour/boudoir pictures in Long Island City, NY. The latest rage in photography these days is boudoir photography, a.k.a, sensual or intimate photography. But a boudoir and glamour shoot can be treated as two sides of the coin since both can go hand in hand sometimes. In most boudoir photo sessions, pictures are usually taken of the model in lingerie. But you don’t necessarily have to be wearing lingerie in all your photos. You may decide to wear a sexy little dress, or even your favorite guy’s shirt. In this photo session, lovely Mina wore a sweater with just her thigh highs for a more casual sexy look. She then wore a beautiful sexy black lingerie set from Victoria’s Secret. I absolutely loved the sparkles on the bra. She then brought in a beautiful black sweater hoodie with fur on the hood and I took some glamour headshots. The black fur framed around her face was absolutely stunning and brought out her beautiful eyes. I hope you all enjoy these lovely photos of Mina. I believe that I was able to successfully capture her casual, sexy and glamourous sides in these pictures.
