I love being a New York City Senior photographer!  High School Seniors are always fun for me to photograph and Samantha was no exception.  She was easy-going and knew exactly what she wanted out of her Senior Photos.  She selected to go to Dumbo, Brooklyn as one of the locations for her senior photo session with its spectacular view of NYC, the Brooklyn Bridge and tons of urban texture, graffiti and color.  There are many spots in Dumbo, NYC for great photo opportunities that are perfect for any high school senior that prefers a cool, grungy and urban vibe.  I am sure that these photos will serve as a great reminder of her high school days.

Coney Island Photography

It’s been a super long time since I was at Coney Island so I was excited for this Coney Island Photo Session.  Truthfully I did not know what to expect as I did not remember much about Coney Island since I was last there and it has recently changed a bit in the last few years. I was however, looking forward  to include some of the cool colored art walls that I heard about and I hoped to get some photos by the boardwalk and the beach.  Unfortunately, we did not get to do any photos at the beach  since it was super windy and the sand was just blowing everywhere.  It felt like a sandstorm.  I am not sure if this is the norm for Coney Island or if it was just bad timing for us.  After being attacked by all the sand, we got off the boardwalk and walked towards an alley way and found the cool colored Coney Art Walls.  I started to shoot there and got some awesome shots of both Natalie and Teresa.  I started with Teresa first on the Riot wall which was super chic and cool and matched her retro vintage look.  Natalie brought along a really cool pair of heart beige glasses and had a great shade of red lipstick on so I thought that the gold wall would compliment her look best and it certainly did.

Afterwards we walked down the alley and found a cool ATM machine and game area and took some photos of Teresa and some portraits of Natalie with the beautiful sunlight just setting behind her.

We then proceeded to walk towards the Ferris Wheel  and the girls stopped to get some Cotton Candy.  We of course got a few photos with that as well.

Since the sun had already set and the wind died down we decided to walk  back to the walls to get a few really neat night shots.  Look  how cool those lights are sparkling in the background.

If you have never been to Coney Island, or if it’s just been way too long since you have gone, than I certainly do recommend that you check it out.  There is so much to do there.  Rides, games, the beach and of course no trip to Coney Island could be complete without a stop at the World Famous Nathans!
