Long Island Bar Mitzvah Photographer

I was super excited when an old friend contacted me to see if I was available to be her son Jonathan’s Long Island Bar Mitzvah Photographer. She was planning a very simple low key event with only close friends and family. Instead of having the services at a temple, she opted to have the services and luncheon all held at the Bonwit Inn in Commack, New York. Since everything was to be held at the restaurant, we met up prior the service to take some portraits and family formals. After that it was time for the service and then lunch was served.

It was a nice little event and the theme was Broadway since Jonathan is a huge enthusiast and loves the theatre and has seen many broadway and off broadway plays. Much to my surprise, he also loved being in front of the camera. He really enjoyed having his portraits taken. Right before his candle lighting we went around the restaurant to get some really cool dramatic photos. I found a small booth with a small window and the light was just exquisite.

Long Island Bat Mitzvah Photographer: The Sands Atlantic Beach

What a beautiful day it was for this Long Island Bat Mitzvah celebration at the Sands Atlantic Beach. I had the great opportunity of capturing Lauren’s bat mitzvah celebration and the Sands offered many great photo opportunities. I loved that we were able to take advantage and photograph some of Lauren’s portraits and family photos outside by the beach. I absolutely love the ocean blue doors by the white boardwalk out in back of The Sands. Even the inside provides for some great photo opportunities including a piano and staircase.

The family was so nice to work with, and Lauren, the Bat Mitzvah girl was one of the sweetest 13 year olds. I just loved her pretty coral pink dress. It really matched up perfectly with the beach theme! I had a great time capturing these portraits and all the special highlights of her birthday party. Congratulations again, Lauren! It was great being part of your special day.
