Long Island Bar Mitzvah Photographer<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I was super excited when an old friend contacted me to see if I was available to be her son Jonathan’s Long Island Bar Mitzvah Photographer.  She was planning a very simple low key event with only close friends and family.  Instead of having the services at a temple, she opted to have the services and luncheon all held at the Bonwit Inn<\/em><\/a> in Commack, New York.  Since everything was to be held at the restaurant, we met up prior the service to take some portraits and family formals.  After that it was time for the service and then lunch was served.  <\/p>\n

It was a nice little event and the theme was Broadway since Jonathan is a huge enthusiast and loves the theatre and has seen many broadway and off broadway plays.  Much to my surprise, he also loved being in front of the camera.  He really enjoyed having his portraits taken.    Right before his candle lighting we went around the restaurant to get some really cool dramatic photos.  I found a small booth with a small window and the light was just exquisite.<\/p>\n

Below you can find  a mix of portraits, family formals and then the highlights of the day, including some photos of the service and the candle lighting as well as some detail shots from his Broadway theme.<\/p>\n
